On a positive note, though, you have to appreciate the harmony of the autumn-colors :) .
Double dagger (first time she tried - and liked) at level 17.
Now this was really a bit harsh on the poor Marquise and her self esteem: first she is sent off to Charr-country where she is surrounded by grumpy, ill smelling flea bags, then I make her cut down some trees and last but not least she ends up cleaning up rubble, tar pools and traps.

Wow - Nymeria got so lucky!!
She threw in four green shoulder items and look what she got!!! Not only are the stats very good, but also the look is amazing! A-ma-zing! Can't wait for her to get on level to equip them!!! According to the GW2 Wiki, this is a Karma vendor item, which makes me scratch my head a bit. Khal and Khaleesi managed to finish the Norn starting area tonight - it included the most boring quest so far: "trading with trolls" i. e. keeping some Jotunn happy by running forth finding shinies for them and selling them for stones. Taari was not pleased to do so and took ages :( The Khaleesi also showed her prowess when soloing four mobs two levels above her and also a veteran. She's simply awesome ;)
Level 14 currently Nymeria has been busy making a lot of money on the Trading Post these last days, so she has not seen much of the world outside Hoelbrak.
Unfortunately I just found out that newest entries sell first, so my stack of 1.000 cotton straps that I put up one day ago is likely never to get sold even though it matches the current lowest price. I ought to calm down about it, but I'm struggling. YAYY - a jumping puzzle was what Dinah thought when she followed that little tunnel entrance hidden behind bushes. And there she was, jumping from little platform to platform, finding a chest and seeing a portal. DONE! Easy! ... um ... hang on! Easy? WTF?
The portal she found was only the entrance to the actual jumping puzzle - where she tried and failed, tried and failed, tried and fell ... and eventually gave up. But I'm sure she'll be back with The Marquise has fought her way through Queensdale and entered the gate of the human capital City: Divinity's Reach !!
As you can see she was overwhelmed by the sheer size and beauty of it. I must confess Divinity's Reach is the most pretty city I have ever seen in a game. Discovering the whole of DR took quite a while, I could not resist stopping here and there, gazing at splendid details like the orchestra or the cemetary - the whole city has a feel of 'Florence in the 18th century' about it. |
